While we aren’t known as the “Sunshine State,” Colorado has an average of 300 sunny days per year. If you’re a nature lover, this is great news. For your roof, however, all of this sunshine can take a toll. In fact, our proximity to the sun and fast shifts in temperature lead to contraction and expansion of roofing materials, which age your roof significantly.

Columbine Roofing is an Owens Corning PLATINUM Preferred Contractor, we are able to provide our clients with the best roof warranties on the market – the OC Platinum roof warranties. These roof warranties protect your roof from damage and can help you rest easy.
To help you understand why a warranty is worth the investment, we’d like to breakdown some key components of the Platinum warranties available.
When you work with us, a platinum preferred contractor, you have four warranties available to you.
The Standard Limited Lifetime Warranty
This warranty covers 10 years of true protection for a laminate shingle. Essentially, if your roof fails within the first 10 years due to a manufacturer defect, Owens Corning covers the cost of raw materials and labor to replace the roof.
After 10 years, costs are prorated to 80% from year 10 to year 40 on a sliding scale of minus 2% each year to cover the costs of raw materials. After the 40th year, you have 20% prorated coverage
The System Protection Warranty
If your roof were to fail due to manufacturer defect in the first 50 years, Owens Corning covers the cost of labor, raw materials, any tariffs, and disposal.
The Preferred Protection Warranty
With this warranty, you get the 50 years of coverage described in the previous warranty, as well as 10 years of workmanship.
For example, if your roofing contractors were to “botch” installation, Owens Corning takes care of all replacement expenses through the trusted preferred contractor.
The Platinum Protection Warranty
This warranty includes 50 years of true protection and an additional 25 years of workmanship.
This includes all expenses for raw materials, labor, tariffs, and disposal for 50 years, as well as the workmanship of your preferred contractor for 25 years.
From year 26 to year 40, these costs are prorated to 50% with a sliding scale of minus 2% each year.
